Amidst Potsdam: Our venues

Following the successful relocation of the last edition, the 2024 festival will once again take place in the heart of the traditional film city of Potsdam. The partnerships in Schiffbauergasse have been expanded to create an even more cohesive festival campus. Over the course of four days, a dense network of artistic exchange and constructive encounters will stretch from the Waschhaus Potsdam to the Filmmuseum Potsdam.  

Waschhaus Potsdam

The Waschhaus remains the epicenter of Sehsüchte. In addition to two cinemas, a guest center and exhibition spaces, it offers a large area for the diverse panels, workshops and parties of Sehsüchte.

T-Werk 

One new addition is the T-Werk. This third movie theater in Schiffbauergasse shortens the distances between screenings. This means more time to explore the whole campus.

Filmmuseum Potsdam

Germany’s oldest film museum will also be a venue for the 53rd Sehsüchte Festival. In the heart of Potsdam’s city center, visitors can discover not only the past but also the future of film.
