Sehsüchte in the heart of Potsdam: These are our new festival venues.
The 52nd edition of the Sehsüchte Film Festival is marked by major changes: We are leaving the campus of the Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF and are moving the festival into the heart of Potsdam, a city rich in film related tradition.
With four new festival locations, Sehsüchte brings young, international perspectives to the cultural landscape of the region and offers a unique event for the capital of Brandenburg:
As the epicentre of the new festival edition, the Waschhaus offers two cinema halls, a guest centre and exhibition spaces as well as a major area for the diverse panels, workshops and parties of Sehsüchte.
Germany’s oldest film museum will also become a venue for the 52nd Sehsüchte Festival. Here, in the middle of Potsdam’s city centre, visitors can discover not only the past but also the future of film.
As a cultural institution with a long tradition, the cinema will once again be available to us as a venue. Film enthusiasts can enjoy a diverse range of films in a unique setting.
With the Theaterschiff we will take you out to sea: panels and discussions on the major topics of the industry will be held here on a small stage.
