Main Programme
The main programme presents a diverse selection of feature films, documentaries and animated films.
Feature Film
Here we are looking for films with mainly fictional content. Films shown in this section are eligible for the following awards: Best Feature Film and Outstanding Artistic Achievement in a Feature Film.

Special Programmes
The special programmes broaden the festival’s perspective on film, society, and technology.
Social Impact Films
The Social Impact: Storytelling and Producing section focuses on activist and socio-critical films that engage in debates about human rights, sustainability, and the fight against injustice, and that particularly seek to encourage social change. Films screened in this section are eligible for the following award: Best Engaged Film: Storytelling and Producing. Along with the film submission, a short statement (approx. 1 page) describing your personal motivation, artistic vision and the film’s aspirations or intended impact should be sent to .

Virtual Reality
Virtual Reality
The Virtual Reality section includes Virtual Reality (VR) projects with a running time of two minutes or more. The selected VR projects will be exhibited in a Virtual Reality (VR) space during the festival. Films shown in this section are eligible for the following award: Best VR Project. VR projects need to be submitted by February 8th, 2026.

As part of the festival, the Schreibsüchte section will present scenic readings and a pitch competition.

Screenplays
All German-language, unproduced screenplays for feature films with a planned minimum running time of 25 minutes are eligible for submission. Screenplays presented in this section have the opportunity to compete for the following award: Best Screenplay.
Exhibition
Exhibition
The exhibition, guided by this year’s theme “What’s left?”, is searching for works that confront our rapidly shifting technological, ecological, and political realities. We highlight creators who use modern technologies to explore what remains, what can be reimagined, and what new forms of expression emerge from uncertainty. Projection Mapping
We are looking for works with a duration of at least two to maximum eight minutes that combine narrative, aesthetics and space to create an immersive experience and expand the physical dimension of the location.
