Intimacy coordination is increasingly becoming standard. Drawing on experiences from productions such as EUPHORIE, SCHWARZE FRÜCHTE or THE HUNGER GAMES – SUNRISE ON THE REAPING, this panel discusses safe working conditions for intimate scenes.

Bringing socio-political projects to life is her passion, which she has successfully pursued in various constellations. She is currently combining her professional experience and socio-political engagement with academic research in a doctoral thesis at the Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. Her topic is: How can the production conditions for social impact documentaries in Germany be developed? Today, she is a producer and co-managing director of the independent production company JULEX FILM.Beyond her work as a producer, Alexandra has been a dedicated advocate for film policy for many years. After leading the newcomers’ section, she served on the board of PROG (formerly the Producers’ Association) from 2021 to 2025. In 2022, she co-founded FORUM TALENTFILM in partnership with the Max Ophüls Preis Film Festival and the Kuratorium junger deutscher Film.She is also currently focused on tackling the underrepresentation of East German perspectives in the film industry. To drive change, she launched the project “East German Perspectives in Film and Series” in collaboration with Netflix. One of the greatest milestones of her policy work is the introduction of the new BKM talent funding program, which launched in early 2026 under the management of the Kuratorium junger deutscher Film.

Previously, he served as President of the German Film Industry Association (SPIO), Managing Director of the German Film Academy, Head of the “Perspektive Deutsches Kino” section at the Berlinale, and as a developer and producer at Senator Film Produktion. Most recently, he held similar roles at REAL FILM Berlin and oversaw NDR’s “Tatort” productions at Nordfilm Kiel. His films (Fossil, Off Season, Five Things I Don’t Understand) have been screened in cinemas, at international festivals, and on television. He was a fellow at the Berlinale Script Station, the Munich Screenwriting Workshop, the Résidence du Festival de Cannes, Villa Kamogawa, and the Wim Wenders Fellowship. In addition to his work as a filmmaker, he is active in the German Directors’ Association and the German Cultural Council. He is a member of both the German and European Film Academies and has served on juries, including the Berlinale.
