The section Showcase sets the scene for especially successful films from the University of Film KONRAD WOLF in Babelsberg and an annually changing cooperation with another university. This year, current highlights from Babelsberg and the Universitário de Lisboa in Portugal will be shown in two programmes.

One summer, two boys, and a lifetime of change. Sam and his mother Rita take in their old friend, Gifty, and her son, Kwesi. As Sam begins to fall in love with Kwesi and question his identity, the bond is threatened by Kwesi’s lack of residency status.
