Introduction of explore: Kopfkino

explore: Kopfkino presents itself as a scenic reading of excerpts of the works nominated for the Best Screenplay 2019. The event takes place on the 26th of April at 5 o’clock pm in Kino 1 and will be held in German.

Alexander Weise

Born in Datteln/Ruhrgebiet Alexander Weise studied acting at the Westfälische Schauspielschule Bochum. Since his graduation he has worked at different theaters as a guest and ensemble member, among others Schauspielhaus Bochum, Theater Graz, Maxim Gorki Theater and Volksbühne Berlin. Currently Alexander is playing at the Residenztheater München in Die Räuber (D: Ulrich Rasche), which was invited to the Theatertreffen Berlin 2017 and awarded with the NESTROY-price for best German speaking performance.
Since 2009 he develops speaking choirs for theatre productions, e.g. at the Staatstheater Stuttgart, Schauspiel Frankfurt and Theater Magdeburg. He regularly appears on camera (SOKO Leipzig) and works as a voice-over artist e.g. for arte, Hessischer Rundfunk, WDR, Deutsche Welle TV, Steinbach Sprechende Bücher, Studio Funk Berlin/Frankfurt. &

Christin Quander

Christin Quander works as a trilingual voice-over artist, presenter, translator and animal communicator. After an apprenticeship as a foreign language secretary she started her career in an unusual way by winning a radio voice contest. A private education as a voice-over artist and TV presenter followed. She fell in love with dubbing after working for radio and local TV stations, having guest appearances in audio dramas and productions in her own studio. Currently in cinemas Christin lends her voice to Catherine the Greater (Zenaida Alcalde) in Dumbo (D: Tim Burton). She also translates movies since 2013 and gives language advice for Spanish or Spanish dialect parts.
She is attending Sehsüchte the second time – last year she was our presenter at Schreibsüchte.| |

Dana Friedrich

Dana Friedrich is a voice-over artist and a studied actress. She is known as the female station voice of ZDF and many documentaries on arte, ZDF, ARD, RTL, ProSieben and others. Furthermore she speaks in audio dramas, e.g. End of Time, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The Labours of Hercules, Die Blutgräfin and computer games, e.g. FIFA, Nintendo Wii Yoga, Culpa Innata, Never Winter.
Dana also works as a dubbing actress and is the German voice of Elizabeth Olsen, Jennifer Hudson, Anna Skellern and Sarita Choudhury, e.g. in Jessica Jones and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay. In addition she lends her voice to telephone systems of national and international companies like Deutsche Post, Swisscom, Sony, UPS, Bolia and others. &

Fred Costea

Fred Costea, born 1994 in Neumarkt, Upper Palatinate, started his acting studies at the Filmuniversity Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF in 2016. Besides acting in different short film projects and audio dramas, he composes his own songs and writes poetry and song texts. Since 2018 he guests at the Hans Otto Theater Potsdam as part of his acting studies. In 2019 he was casted as one of the lead characters in a co-production of the Filmuniversity and 3sat.

Elmar Gutmann

Elmar Gutmann, born 1952 in Freiburg, is a studied actor and works among others for the Grips-Theater, Schillertheater and Renaissance-Theater in Berlin. He as provided the voice-over to Meldrick Lewis in Homicide, Mister Satan in Dragonball Z and Samson in the animatic series Chip’n Dale: Rescue Rangers. Furthermore he is a trumpet player of the 17 Hippies. &

Mélanie Fouché

After completing her acting studies at the Schauspielschule Stuttgart Mélanie Fouché played at different theatres, for example Staatstheater Stuttgart, Théatre National du Luxembourg and Staatsoper Unter den Linden.
She’s been living in Berlin for 15 years and works as a German and French voice-over artist for audio dramas, radio features, advertisements in television, radio and image movies.
She regularly features in cinema and TV productions. Starting in autumn 2019 she can be seen in Der Geburtstag (D: Carlos Morelli). &

Raúl Semmler

Raúl Semmler was born 1984 in Jena and grew up in Berlin. He studied acting at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Frankfurt am Main. From the age of 15 he has acted in cinema and TV productions, e.g. 13 Semester, Die Päpstin, Unterm Radar, Polizeiruf 110 and SOKO Leipzig. He also plays in different theatres like Schauspiel Frankfurt, Nibelungenfestspiele and Stage Operettenhaus Hamburg and featured in music videos, among others to songs by Josephin Busch and PeterLicht.
As a dubbing artist he played his part in podcasts (Gegen die Angst), documentaries (True Warriors), audio dramas (Verbrennungen) and TV-commercials (Suzuki, Puma, Garnier, Fanta).
At the festival he can be detected in a little role in 8:27, for which he has also been responsible as executive producer and co author.

Sara Simons

Sara Simons was born in 1995 in Lüneburg and started her acting studies at the Filmuniversity Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF in 2016. Apart from her passion for acting she practices martial arts and running. Ever since starting her acting studies she is regularly working as a dubbing artist for audio dramas and audio plays.
Additionally she was part of different short films and various readings. Currently she acts in the play Europa verteidigen at the Hans Otto Theater. The movie Freunde der Weisheit, in which she was acting, was shown at the Hofer Filmtage 2018.

Rudy Redl

Rudy Redl, born in Munich and living in Berlin for many years, is a composer, pianist and producer for music, web and TV. At his Label BBO Records Limited, located in Liverpool and Berlin, he produces Funk, Soul, Gospel and Jazz projects. As a foundation member of the impro theatre Die Gorillas he plays the piano several times a month and works in the art direction and project development.
